4.8.2.8 Mesh Geometry

Elements may have mesh geometry defined which reduces the 'Body' representation into a triangulated surface model that includes cutouts for any voids or openings.

The following attribute values for the IfcShapeRepresentation holding this geometric representation shall be used:

• IfcShapeRepresentation.RepresentationIdentifier = 'Mesh'
• IfcShapeRepresentation.RepresentationType = 'Tessellation'
• IfcShapeRepresentation.Items = IfcTessellateditem
